On the first day, we will meet at 2:30 p.m. in the lobby of the Hotel Luena in Lisbon for a welcome drink. In a relaxed atmosphere, all participants will get to know each other, and we will give a brief introduction to the schedule for the coming days and the photographic focus of our workshop. Afterwards, we will make our way together to the impressive Vasco da Gama Bridge. The modern architecture and the wide landscape along the Tagus River offer ideal conditions for our first photo session. During the golden hour, we will focus on lines, perspectives and the targeted use of natural light to capture the special atmosphere of the place photographically. After the shoot, we will end the day in a relaxed manner with dinner together at Pizzeria Casanova. Located directly on the waterfront, we enjoy the atmosphere at the harbour, sample local specialities and exchange our first impressions and the pictures we have taken. Those who wish to do so can then take part in an optional image review in the hotel lobby, where we will look at some of the shots together, give feedback and talk about image composition and lighting.

The second day begins early in the morning with a sunrise session in Lisbon’s historic Alfama district. In the narrow alleys and between the old façades, we take advantage of the warm morning light for our first photo session of the day. The quiet atmosphere of the city in the early morning offers ideal conditions for authentic street shots, exciting light and shadow effects, and atmospheric details. Afterwards, we return to the Hotel Luena for breakfast together and start the rest of the day refreshed. Then we visit the creative environment of the LX Factory. Between industrial architecture, street art and modern design concepts, we focus on portrait photography in an urban environment, working with architectural lines and experimenting specifically with black-and-white photography. In the afternoon, the journey continues to Belém and the surrounding areas along the Tagus River. There we will photograph some of the city’s most famous landmarks, including the Belém Tower, the modern MAAT – Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology, and the impressive 25 de Abril Bridge. Here we will work with various techniques such as HDR, long exposures and, if possible, drone photography to capture the special architecture and atmosphere of this area. We will end the evening with a dinner together at Mattarello. In a relaxed atmosphere, we will share our impressions of the day. Those who wish to do so can then take part in an optional image review in the hotel lobby, where we will analyse shots together, give feedback and talk about image composition and editing.

The third day begins early in the morning with a sunrise session in Lisbon’s historic Alfama district. As on the previous day, we take advantage of the warm morning light for an intensive photography session. The narrow streets, old house facades and quiet early morning city life offer ideal conditions for atmospheric shots with a special focus on light, shadow and authentic scenes. Afterwards, we will visit various locations in the city and concentrate on architectural and street photography. We will work specifically with image composition, lines and perspectives, and also try out creative techniques such as panning to make movement and dynamics visible in our pictures.

In the afternoon, we will drive together to Cascais on the Atlantic coast. There, we will first enjoy a relaxed lunch and then explore some of the most beautiful photo spots in the region. The coastal landscape unfolds its special atmosphere especially at sunset, when the warm evening light hits the Atlantic Ocean and creates perfect conditions for impressive landscape shots. After returning to the Hotel Luena, there will be a short break before we end the day with dinner together at Bengal Tandoori. In a relaxed atmosphere, we will enjoy Indian cuisine and share our photographic impressions of the day. Those who wish to do so can then take part in an optional image review in the hotel lobby, where we will analyse photos together, give feedback and talk about image editing and creative approaches.

On the last day, we will start the morning with breakfast together at the Hotel Luena in Lisbon and look back on the past few days in a relaxed atmosphere. Afterwards, we will check out of the hotel and slowly prepare for the journey home. Depending on individual departure times, there is the option of a final group photo session at a selected location in Lisbon. This gives us another chance to capture motifs, clarify any open questions or simply enjoy the special atmosphere of the city through photography. Then we say goodbye to each other and our group photo trip to Lisbon comes to an end – with lots of new impressions, pictures and inspiration.
